“I wanted to thank you again for helping Jack and us provide a meaningful and festive service to the congregation for his Bar Mitzvah. You have been so generous with your time, wonderful with your suggestions, and professional with all of your knowledge with regard to the music itself. We could not have done this without you!!! The day was everything we had hoped it would be; you played a very important role in it, and for that we are most grateful.” – Deb Siegel
“Your service is the talk of the town… Really!! Friends and family felt that it was an inclusive, welcoming service, and even both seasoned Bar/Bat Mitzvah veterans and novices felt that you took them on a journey that they felt they could connect with and understand. And the “take me out to the ballgame” finale put a smile on absolutely everyone’s face!” – Lisa Kunins
Weddings

“Vera Broekhuysen was the Cantor for our Jewish interracial wedding in May. She was fabulous! The months leading up to the wedding she posed wonderful questions and discussions for my then fiancé and I before the wedding. In the end, it was the answers to many of the questions she brought up that helped us created our own vows. Vera helped me create a program and decide what must be included and what traditions didn’t need to be a part of our day. My husband is Hindu and I have almost no experience with the Jewish traditions so her help and patience was much appreciated! She was open and flexible to many of our ideas and thoughts and in the end delivered a beautifully crafted traditional and unique wedding ceremony. We felt that this ceremony was the only one like it in the world and that is a wonderful feeling to have on your wedding day. Vera gave us way more than I could have ever imagined. Our guests cried, laughed and overall loved the ceremony too! It was an amazing start to our life as husband and wife and we couldn’t be happier! I absolutely would recommend her to anyone looking for a Jewish wedding ceremony of any level of tradition and experience.” – Tamara Cohen
